Hey Reader,
This week, I’ve been thinking about how much we run on autopilot. Not just the get-the-kids-out-the-door or what’s-for-dinner kind of autopilot — I mean the way we make decisions, view the world, and believe things about ourselves and others without ever questioning where that belief came from.
I’ve been using ChatGPT not just for organizing my to-do list or summarizing information, but also to challenge my thinking. I’ll ask it: What assumptions am I making here? What haven’t I considered? And I gotta say — it’s been messing with me in a good way. Instead of leaning into AI's inner people-pleaser, I'm ASKING for it to challenge what I think I know, and it's been an eye opener.
It's got me thinking about how I developed my own core beliefs, and how that's shaped my reality. The hard part is allowing yourself the space to challenge those beliefs when new information presents itself. It's allowing space for "not being right".
It’s a reminder that a lot of what we think is true might just be what we’ve always believed. Because we were told. Because we never stopped to ask. Because it’s easier that way.
But easier doesn’t always mean better. And fair warning, once you go down this path, you can't "unlearn" how to challenge everything. It provides clarity, but also an underlying NEED to take action on what you now know.
Weekly Tarot Card.
This week’s card is the Nine of Pentacles — a reminder of what it means to build a life that feels good because you chose it. Not because someone handed you a checklist. Not because you followed the “right” steps. But because you made intentional decisions rooted in who you are and what you want.
This card is often about success and self-sufficiency, but here’s the thing— a lot of us chase those things using someone else’s definition. So if you're feeling stuck, dissatisfied, or just off, maybe it's time to challenge the assumptions behind your goals. Are you striving for something that actually matters to you? Or something you were told should matter?
The Nine of Pentacles invites us to pause and check: Is the life I'm cultivating truly mine, or just familiar? Am I planting what I want to grow — or what I assumed I had to?
A Powerful Question.
If no one was watching, what would I pour my energy into?
See ya next time.
Prioritize self-care. Do things that make you feel more you. And if you’re feeling off, challenge what you think you “have” to do — there might be another way.
Cheers,
