Set the world on fire. But like, in a good way.

Hey Reader,

This week, the house is weirdly…quiet. The kids are off with my sister-in-law, my husband’s traveling for work, and for the first time in a long time, I’m home alone.

Still working full-time (because capitalism), but suddenly I’ve got full control over the rest of my hours — and honestly? That kind of freedom is both exhilarating and overwhelming. The silence is loud. The to-do list whispers seductively. The dog hair doesn't vacuum itself, right?

But I’m choosing ME this week. Full permission to make art just because it feels good (this week’s ADHD craft: resin), light every candle I own, order sushi (because I'm the only one that likes it) and move slowly through my own Tarot reflections.

So when I pulled the Queen of Wands, I had to laugh. Of course it was her. She’s the creative, confident badass who doesn’t shrink or apologize for doing what lights her up. This week, I’m channeling her energy. Showing up to work, yes — but also showing up for myself. Using the quiet to reconnect, reset, and let my inner fire take the wheel for once. Because presence is power, and damn, I deserve to feel powerful.

Weekly Tarot Card.

So the Queen of Wands. Honestly? She’s a whole vibe.

She’s the queen who doesn’t just sit on the throne, she owns the room. Black cat at her feet. Wand in hand. That sunflower? Yeah, she grew that shit. This card is full of fire, creativity, boldness, and a quiet kind of “try me” energy.

She’s a reminder that showing up fully. With your ideas, your magic, your weirdness — isn’t too much. It’s the assignment.

The Queen of Wands is about trusting your voice. Taking up space. Doing the damn thing no matter what others think.

A Powerful Question.

What part of yourself have you been dimming to make other people more comfortable — and what would happen if you stopped?

See ya next time.

Prioritize self-care and doing things that bring you joy.

You're a bad ass and doing great things.

Cheers,

Hey Reader, I pulled The Tower this week. Yep. That one. It’s never a fun card to see — especially when you’re already in the middle of a rough patch. Nothing about the message it brings is gentle. I’ve been wrestling hard with my depression this week. It’s nothing new (I’ve had this particular monster since I was 13), and things aren’t bad, but they feel bad. Things are actually really good, but depression likes throwing mud on top of otherwise pretty awesome shit. What’s helping me stay...

Hey Reader, This week I've been focusing on something I didn’t realize I was craving: joy in the everyday. Not the big, over-the-top celebration kind of joy — but the subtle, quiet, refill-your-cup kind. My husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary, and we went to our favorite restaurant. Just the two of us. No kids asking for more ketchup. No rushing to clean up the mess afterward. Just real, uninterrupted time together. Peacefully joyful. And honestly? That energy spilled over into...

Hey Reader, This week, I want to talk about showing up — especially when it’s uncomfortable. It’s Pride Month, and I wore a shirt to my weekly art club for kids that said “Protect Trans Folks.” A lot of people who boldly and beautifully live their truth told me they loved my shirt — which doesn’t usually happen, since I tend to fly under the radar in how I present. Turns out, showing up visibly made me more approachable to people who don’t always feel seen either. I also got a few stares that...
