Hey Reader,
I might have a bunch of different skills, but the most handy one lately is how I control my work calendar. I say no to meetings I don’t need to be at (or straight-up ask the organizer "do you need me?"), protect chunks of time for work that matters, and claim the authority to decide how my hours get spent.
It feels powerful. I have shit to do that needs focus, priorities that can’t wait, and the ability to decide what actually deserves my time. If someone gets huffy about it? That’s their problem, not mine. And to be honest, it rarely happens. Most people respect boundaries, or even get a bit jealous that I'm take the initiative to call the shots on my time.
Stepping into your own authority means making the decision before it’s made for you. Boundaries don't restrict you. They give you the space to build, create, and actually get shit done. That’s pure Emperor energy.
Weekly Tarot Card.
The Emperor is your nudge to take charge, set boundaries, and claim your power. He’s not about bossing people around just for fun, this is more about creating structure, stability, and a plan. Think of him as a wise and experienced leader giving you the tools to organize chaos, lead projects, and enforce the rules that keep things running smoothly.
This card can show up as a reminder to step into leadership: with yourself, your work, your family, or your projects. It asks: Where do you need boundaries? Where can structure help you thrive? Where do you need to finally call the shots instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you?
If the Fool is about starting the journey, the Magician is about using your tools, the High Priestess is about knowing what’s already true, the Emperor says: “Build your castle. Make your rules. Protect what matters — and don’t apologize for it.”
Shameless reminder: I love reading Tarot. I love reading Tarot. My readings don’t stop at “here’s what the cards say.” You get Ally-style coaching baked in, so you can take what you learn and actually do something with it.
