Celebrate before the finish line.

Hey Reader,

So, I’m currently elbows-deep in EVA foam, buckets of glue, and a silent plea to the universe that my son’s Mandalorian Halloween costume turns out wearable. I’ve never built a cosplay costume before, but here I am — cutting, gluing, cursing, and learning one piece at a time.

The cool part? It’s actually coming together. Each piece looks a little better than the last, and my son and I are figuring it out as we go. He’s helping, I’m helping, and together we’re getting less “Pinterest fail” and more “this might actually work.”

Here’s the thing: I’m not an expert. Not at cosplay, not at foam armor, not at this exact kind of creativity. But the more time I spend with it, the better I get. The more I learn. And it’s a reminder that if you find something you love, or something that lights you up — you don’t need to already be good at it to start. You just need to start.

That’s growth mindset in action: progress, not perfection. Skills are built through time, mistakes, and a lot of “well, let’s try again.” And honestly? It’s way more fun this way.

Weekly Tarot Card.

Last week, we pulled the Six of Wands, which is all about victory, public recognition, and being seen. That card is the parade after the hard work — the spotlight, the “hell yes, you did it” moment.

The Four of Wands is different. This isn’t about the finish line; it’s about pausing mid-journey to celebrate the steps along the way. Think less red-carpet spotlight and more living room dance party with your people. It’s the card that says: don’t wait until the big win to cheer yourself on. Progress itself is worth a toast.

Where the 6 asks, “How are you showing up to be seen?”
…the 4 asks, “How are you making space to celebrate with your people right now?”

Together, they’re a reminder that both types of celebration matter. You deserve the parade and the dance party.

A Powerful Question.

What small win this week deserves a celebration — even if I’m not “finished” yet?

See ya next time.
